Salisbury Lion’s Club helps underprivaled Salisbury families celebrate Christmas through Santa’s Angles.

For the forth Christmas, members of the Salisbury Lions Club will join other volunteers to distribute groceries, toys, and trees to dozens of Salisbury families who cannot afford to celebrate the season. Last year, Santa’s Angles visited households in Salisbury, bringing gifts and sharing the true meaning of Christmas with neighbors in our community.
Santa’s Angels is a group of volunteers who organise, fundraise, and carry out a surprise Christmas visit by Santa and his elves to dozens of families in the Salisbury area. We are a 100% volunteer-based group that hopes to reach those who, for one reason or another, are not able to provide Christmas gifts and food for their children. Each package we deliver is customised based upon the needs of the individual or family we visit.
The work we do is made possible by a group of Salisbury companies who contribute much of the food and gifts we give away. This year, our benefactors include:
·      Acme Market
·      Holt Paper
·      Arnold Bread, and
·      Process Integration
This Christmas season reminds us that the greater gift is always to the giver. We are blessed with the opportunity to help others in our community celebrate a joyful and merry Christmas.
